Drivers must be comfortable working in a construction environment, following strict safety standards, and adapting to changing jobsite demands.Enjoy the benefit of being home every night while contributing to Oklahoma's road construction industry!What You'll DoTransport and deliver hot oil and other assigned materials safely to designated jobsites and locations.Conduct detailed vehicle inspections before and after each shift to identify potential safety or maintenance concerns.Follow proper loading, unloading, and dumping procedures to prevent accidents and protect equipment.Safely access the truck and equipment when performing inspections, securing loads, or assisting with jobsite operations.Keep the vehicle in reliable operating condition by following scheduled maintenance and service requirements.Adjust driving practices to accommodate changing weather, road conditions, and active construction zones.Assist with winter weather operations when required, including snow removal and the application of salt or sand.Comply with company procedures, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and all applicable safety requirements.Perform other job-related duties as directed by management.What You Bring to the TeamRequired QualificationsCurrent, valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.At least two years of verifiable DOT driving experience.A clean driving history with no more than two points.Ability to meet all applicable federal DOT standards and requirements.Availability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as operational needs require.Ability to complete required vehicle inspections and recognize potential equipment issues.Skills and Physical RequirementsAbility to operate a commercial truck safely for extended periods.Strong coordination, adequate hearing, and the physical capability to perform essential job duties.Ability to climb on and off the truck safely when necessary.Knowledge of vehicle handling, braking, turning, and maneuvering techniques.Understanding of safe material handling, load security, and proper dumping practices.Clear communication skills when coordinating with coworkers, supervisors, and jobsite personnel.Ability to manage time effectively, meet delivery expectations, and prioritize safety over speed.Familiarity with truck controls and the safe operation of assigned equipment.Pay & Employee BenefitsSilver Star Construction offers competitive compensation and a benefits package designed to support our employees, including:Competitive PayDriver BonusMedical, Vision, and Dental InsuranceLife InsuranceShort-Term Disability Coverage401(k) Retirement PlanEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Comprehensive Company BenefitsBuild Your Future with Silver Star ConstructionAre you dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to doing quality work?
